Award-winning author and photojournalist Jeannée Sacken will be presenting her favorite images from recent photoshoots in southern Africa in SAFARI! She will also talk about how she fictionalized experiences in her recent novel, THE WOMEN WHO STAND BETWEEN.

AAUW Milwaukee had our Annual Scholarship Cruise on June 14, 2025. Members celebrated our scholars and observed the installation of officers Lyn Hildenbrand (President) and Jean Kreul (VP of Membership).

AAUW-Milwaukee Woman of Merit 2026

Dr. Martha Lopez

The AAUW Milwaukee Board selected Dr. Martha Lopez as our 2026 Woman of Merit. As a veteran Milwaukee Public Schools (MPS) educator and current Gifted and Talented Instructional Coach, Dr. Lopez develops specialized student programming and staff professional development. She currently leads the "Lead to Rise" grant, implementing curriculum for middle school girls across 16 MPS schools. An accomplished presenter, she has shared her expertise nationally, with the Department of Public Instruction, and internationally in Cambodia.
