August 23 – Happy Hour in the Suite to celebrate the passage of the 19th Amendment. The United States Congress approved a women's suffrage amendment to the U.S. Constitution and three-fourths of the states ratified it. On August 26, 1920, Secretary of State Bainbridge Colby officially certified the 19th Amendment with his signature and the seal of the United States. Meeting at the Astor Suite from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm.

September 14 – Peggy Creer will introduce the film "Most Dangerous Women," directed and produced by League of Women Voters member Janet Fitch, who passed away in December. This award-winning film is 33 minutes and is an inspiring, moving film about women who are deemed "dangerous" because they speak up and speak out -- and the dangerous women inside of all of us. The League has done presentations of this film at a few public events, and it is always enthusiastically received and a good spark for discussion about women's representation in the halls of power and the difference that makes for all of us. We will meet at the Urban Ecology Center in Riverside Park from 11 am to 2:00 pm.

October 5 – NCWSSL presentation by our very own Yajayra Ayala and an early recognition of the Day of the Girl Child which is October 11th. The International Day of the Girl Child is celebrated annually on October 11 to recognize the rights of girls and the challenges they face globally. The day's goals are to highlight and address the needs of girls, promote their empowerment and ensure their human rights are fulfilled. Meeting at the Urban Ecology Center in Riverside Park from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm.

November 2 - Big-Money in Politics - A Continued Threat to Women's Economic Equity, and Much More George Penn; a member of Wisconsin United to Amend a non-partisan organization focused on overturning the Citizens United Supreme Court decision by passing a constitutional amendment to get big money out of politics. 176 Wisconsin communities have passed resolutions in support of their amendment - at the Urban Ecology Center in Riverside Park from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm.

December 7 – Annual Holiday Celebration and Silent Auction to benefit the Cathedral Center – at the Woman's Club of Wisconsin from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm

January 25 – Volunteer at the Gathering, preparing and serving meals to those without. Meeting at the Gathering's Running Rebels site from 10:30 am to 1:00 pm. ​

February 1 – Black History Month kick-off with Judge Derek Mosely presenting – What they didn’t teach you in school about black history. Meeting at the Urban Ecology Center in Riverside Park from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm.

March 8 – Join us on International Women’s Day to celebrate women making a difference in Milwaukee! We will honor our first Woman of Merit Award recipient, Teresa Mercado, Executive Director of the Wisconsin Hispanic Scholarship Foundation and Mexican Fiesta; as well as Jerrianne Hayslett, who will share her new book, Valiant Vel, an illustrated biography of groundbreaking civil rights activist Vel Phillips for young readers. Meeting at the Woman's Club of Wisconsin from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm.

April 5 – Interactive presentation from the Great Lakes WATER Institute on the sustainability of water. Meeting at the Urban Ecology Center in Riverside Park from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm.

April 25 & 26 – AAUW WI State Convention in La Crosse – Meeting at the Stoney Creek Hotel and Convention Center in La Crosse/Onalaska. Details available soon on the State website.

May 3 (tentative) – Speaker TBD – May 5 is the National Day for Murdered and Missing Indigenous Women in honor of the birthday of Hanna Harris, a 21-year-old member of the Northern Cheyenne tribe who went missing in 2013 and was later found murdered, and the thousands of other missing and murdered Native American women and girls. Join us to learn more about this important but too often ignored topic. Meeting at the Urban Ecology Center in Riverside Park from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm.
